Jon Grude David born 17 August 1963 in Sandusky, Ohio is a former American football coach, most recently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. Grude went Clay High School in South Bend, Indiana, where his father Jim Grudenserved as an assistant to Dan Devine at the University of Notre Dame.
Grude father Jim set up an interview with Mike Holmgren, who was offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. He quickly rose through the ranks of NFL coaching by learning the famous West Coast offense groundbreaking longtime NFL coach Bill Walsh.
Under Grude, sent Raiders draw 8-8 seasons in 1998 and 1999, and jumped out of last place in the AFC West. Grude significantly retooled the offense with the addition of several free agents. Jon Grude was fired by the Buccaneers, 16 January 2009, after seven seasons with the team.
